一、教学目标
1. Students can understand the content of the three blogs.
2. Students can master some new words and the sentence: kitchen, living room, bedroom, I share a bedroom with my sister.
3. Students can learn about the different characteristics of homes around world and express their opinions on rooms.
4. Students can learn to observe their surroundings carefully and love their homes.
二、教学重难点
Students should master the information of the blogs and the new words, phrases, and the sentence.
Students can use the reading skills in practice.
三、教学过程
Step 1. Lead-in
Students answer the question: How do you get to school? And the teacher can introduce the ways to school and show a picture of the home and describe it.
Step 2. Pre-reading
Students look at the title and pictures on the book and guess what the passage may talk about.
Step 3. While-reading
Skimming
Students read the blogs for the first time and find out the main idea of the blogs.
Scanning
Students read the blogs again and fill the chart according to the blogs.
Careful reading
Students read the passage again and learn the new words and the sentence.
Step 4. Post-reading
Students introduce their own home in groups. They can imitate the blogs and use the sentences we have learned.
Step 5. Summary
Students summarize what they have learned in this lesson, and the teacher gives some supplements if necessary. Then the teacher can lead students to observe the surroundings and love their home.
Step 6. Homework
Students read the blogs again and write a blog to introduce their own home.
